Birds eye view by Capt. Mike Scott

When fishing salt water, vision must be improved, not just yours but also that of the fish.  Yes, the fish must see better and so must you.  On your part, you must be able to see potholes ( those sandy areas between grass beds ).  Your bait must sit in these sand spots.  Hungry fish wait in the grass to see a tasty morsel slide across the sand holes.  You must be able, therefore, to identify both sand and grass. Sporting goods stores carry anti-glare sunshades for this purpose.  Take the time to find a high quality pair of sunshades that will give you the extra edge on seeing the grass and sandy bottom terrain.

Now, let’s fix the vision of the fish.  Water bubble corks will act as sunshades for the fish.  Why?  They free slide on your line.  This means that with the wind to your back, the bait tails out behind them and moves back and forth, up and down, but high in the water.  This allows the fish to get the best view of the bait, above the grass line.

Water bubble corks give the fish the vision they need and anti-glare sunshades give you the vision you need.
